ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾ: ಐಪಿಎಲ್ 11ನೇ ಆವೃತ್ತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆನ್ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಎಡವಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಟೀಕೆ ವ್ಯಕ್ತವಾಗಿದೆ.
ಈಡನ್ ಗಾಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕೋಲ್ಕತಾ ಮುಂಬೈ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ಸ್ ನಡುವಿನ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಎಡವಟ್ಟು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 16 ನೇ ಓವರ್ ಬೌಲ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಕೋಲ್ಕತ್ತಾ ವೇಗಿ ಟಾಮ್ ಕುರ್ರಾನ್ 5ನೇ ಎಸೆತವನ್ನು ಆನ್ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ನೋ ಬಾಲ್ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಆದರೆ ಬಳಿಕ ರಿಪ್ಲೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ನೋ ಬಾಲ್ ಆಗದಿರುವುದು ಕಂಡು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಬೌಲರ್ ಟಾಮ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಕೆಕೆಆರ್ ತಂಡದ ನಾಯಕ ಕಾರ್ತಿಕ್ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಮನವೊಲಿಸಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೂ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ತಮ್ಮ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಮರು ಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಹಿಂದೆ ಟೂರ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಿಂಗ್ಸ್ ಇಲೆವೆನ್ ತಂಡದ ಬೌಲರ್ ಆಂಡ್ರ್ಯೂ ಟೈ ಆನ್ ಫೀಲ್ಡ್ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ತಪ್ಪಿನಿಂದ ದಂಡ ತೆತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್ ತಂಡದ ನಾಯಕ ಕೇನ್ ವಿಲಿಯಂ ಸನ್ ಚೆನ್ನೈ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೊಂಟದಿಂದ ಮೇಲ್ಭಾಗಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ಪೂಲ್ ಟಾಸ್ ಎಸೆತವನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಸರ್ ಗೆ ಆಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರೂ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ನೋ ಬಾಲ್ ತೀರ್ಪು ನೀಡಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಸದ್ಯ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಎಡವಟ್ಟಿನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹಲವು ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್ ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳು ತಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ನಿಯಮ ಏನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತೆ?
ಐಸಿಸಿ ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನೀಡಿದ ತೀರ್ಪನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ದೃಶ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಬದಲಿಸುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ. ತೀರ್ಪು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುವ ಮುನ್ನ ಮೂರನೇ ಅಂಪೈರ್ ಸಹಾಯ ಪಡೆಯ ಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.

To boost locally grown umpires is good but not at the cost of quality and that too in a tournament like IPL. This umpire, K N Padmanabhan has just got his name added in the list. What was he watching?
