ಕೊಲಂಬೊ: ಗುರುವಾರ ಸುರಿದ ಭಾರೀ ಮಳೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀಲಂಕಾದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವಾಹ ಹಾಗೂ ಭೂಕುಸಿತ ಸಂಭವಿಸಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 91 ಮಂದಿ ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದು, 100ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಮಂದಿ ಕಾಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭಾರತದ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ತಂಡ ನೆರೆ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರದ ಸಹಾಯಕ್ಕೆ ಧಾವಿಸಿದೆ. ಪ್ರವಾಹ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಬಂಗಾಳ ಕೊಲ್ಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುವ ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಕಿರ್ಚ್ ಹಡಗನ್ನು ಕೊಲಂಬೊಗೆ ಕಳಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಪರಿಹಾರದ ಕಿಟ್ ಹಾಗು ಡೈವಿಂಗ್ ತಂಡಗಳನ್ನಳಗೊಂಡ ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಶಾರ್ದುಲ್ ಹಡಗು ಕೇರಳದ ಕೊಚ್ಚಿ ಬಂದರಿನಿಂದ ಹೊರಟಿದೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೆ ವಿಶಾಖಪಟ್ಟಣದಿಂದ ಐಎನ್ಎಸ್ ಜಲಶ್ವ ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಬಟ್ಟೆ, ಔಷಧಿಗಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಡಿಯುವ ನೀರನ್ನು ಹೊತ್ತು ಸಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಜೆಮಿನಿ ಕ್ಟ್ರಾಫ್ಟ್ಸ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೆಲಿಕಾಪ್ಟರ್ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹಡಗು ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಹಾಗೂ ಡೈವಿಂಗ್ ತಂಡವನ್ನ ಕೂಡ ಹೊತ್ತು ಸಾಗಲಿದೆ. ಮೇ 28 ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅಥವಾ ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ತಲುಪಲಿದೆ.
ಕಲುತಾರಾದ ಹಲವು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕನಿಷ್ಠವೆಂದರೂ 5 ಭೂಕುಸಿತಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವರದಿಯಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವಕ್ತಾರರಾದ ಪ್ರಿಯಾಂಕಾ ಜಯಕೊಡ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಘಟನೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ ವಿಷಾದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸಂತ್ರಸ್ತರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಹಾಗೂ ಪುನರ್ವಸತಿ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಲು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನೆರವು ನೀಡುವುದಾಗಿ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
