ಉಡುಪಿ: ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಗರಗಸ ಮೀನು (Sawfish) ಮಲ್ಪೆ ಬಂದರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೀನುಗಾರರ ಬಲೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದೆ. ಇದನ್ನು ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಪೆಂಟರ್ ಶಾರ್ಕ್ (Carpenter Shark) ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ವಿಶೇಷ ಮೀನನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು ಜನಸಮೂಹವೇ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆದಿತ್ತು.

ಹಲವು ಇದರ ಫೋಟೋ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿದು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಜಾಲತಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹರಿಯಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಇದೀಗ ಅವುಗಳು ವೈರಲ್ ಆಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಅಪರೂಪದ ಮೀನುಗಳು ಆಳಸಮುದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರ ಇರುತ್ತವೆ. ಸದ್ಯ ಈ ಮೀನುಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಇಳಿಮುಖವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಅಳಿವಿನಂಚಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಂತತಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಶಾರ್ಕ್ ಜಾತಿಯ ಮೀನುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದು ಕೂಡ ಒಂದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನೋಡಲು ತುಂಬಾನೇ ಆಕರ್ಷಕವಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ.
