ಚಂಡೀಗಢ: ರಾವಣ ಸಂಹಾರದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ರೈಲು ಹರಿದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ 50ಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನ ಧಾರುಣವಾಗಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಪಂಜಾಬ್ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಅಮೃತಸರದ ಜೋದಾ ಪಾಟ್ಕರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದಿದೆ.
ವಿಜಯದಶಿಮಿ ಹಿನ್ನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂದು ಅಮೃತಸರದ ಜೋದಾ ಪಾಟ್ಕರ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ರಾವಣನ ಪ್ರತಿಕೃತಿ ಸಂಹರಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮವನ್ನು ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನರು ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ್ದು ಕೆಲವರು ರೈಲು ಹಳಿ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಈ ವೇಳೆ ರೈಲು ಹಳಿ ಮೇಲೆ ಜಮಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದ ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆ ಏಕಾಏಕಿ ರೈಲು ಹರಿದಿದೆ. ರೈಲು ಗುದ್ದಿದ ರಭಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ 50 ಮಂದಿ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷದರ್ಶಿಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದ ಸಮೀಪವೇ ರೈಲು ಮಾರ್ಗ ಹಾದುಹೋಗಿತ್ತು. ಜನ ರೈಲು ಹಳಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಪಟಾಕಿಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ರೈಲು ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ ಶಬ್ಧ ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಕೇಳಿಸಿಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಒಮ್ಮೆಲೆ ರೈಲು ಜನರ ಮೇಲೆಯೇ ಹರಿಯಿತು. ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ಮಹಿಳೆಯರು ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಸುಮಾರು 700 ಮಂದಿ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿರುವ ಮತ್ತೋರ್ವ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷದರ್ಶಿ, ಘಟನೆಗೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ಆಯೋಜಕರೇ ನೇರ ಹೊಣೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರೈಲು ಬರುವ ಮುನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗ ಶಬ್ದವನ್ನಾದರೂ ಅವರು ಮಾಡಬಹುದಿತ್ತು. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಿಗಧಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ರೈಲಿನ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ಮಾಹಿತಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ನಡೆಯುವ ವೇಳೆ ಜನರು ಇಲ್ಲವೇ ರೈಲನ್ನು ತಡೆಯುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಆರೋಪಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ವಿಷಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಆಗಮಿಸಿದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ತಂಡ, ಗಾಯಾಳುಗಳನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರದ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಿವೆ. ಸಾವು ನೋವಿನ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಯಿದೆ.
