ಚಂಡೀಗಢ: ಪಂಜಾಬ್ ನ ಗುರ್ದಾಸ್ಪುರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆಯ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರೀ ಕೂತೂಹಲವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟುಹಾಕಿತ್ತು. ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆಯ ಫಲಿತಾಂಶ ಇಂದು ಹೊರಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಆಡಳಿತ ರೂಢ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಗೆಲುವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ.
ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಸುನಿಲ್ ಜಾಕರ್ ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರತಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯ ಸ್ವರನ್ ಸಲಾರಿಯಾ ಅವರಿಂದ ಸುಮಾರು 1,93,219 ಮತಗಳ ಅಂತರದಿಂದ ಗೆಲುವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯ ಎನ್ಡಿಎ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆಡಳಿತದ ಜನಮತಸಂಗ್ರಹ ಇದಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಗುರ್ದಾಸ್ಪುರ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಜನರು ಕೇಂದ್ರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಆಡಳಿತ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತಮ್ಮ ಅಸಮಧಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊರ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಸುನಿಲ್ ಜಾಕರ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕೇವಲ ಆರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಹಿಂದೆ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಚುಕ್ಕಾಣಿ ಹಿಡಿದಿದ್ದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷಕ್ಕೆ ಗುರ್ದಾಸ್ಪುರ ಉಪ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠೆಯ ಕಣವಾಗಿ ಏರ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಇನ್ನೂ ಬಿಜೆಪಿಗೂ ಉಪಚುನಾವಣೆ ಗೆಲ್ಲುವುದು ಅನಿವಾರ್ಯವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆಪ್ ಸಹ ತನ್ನಪಕ್ಷದಿಂದ ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಮೇಜರ್ ಜನರಲ್ ಸುರೇಶ್ ಖಜುರಿಯಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕಣಕ್ಕೀಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಖಜುರಿಯಾ ಕೇವಲ 23,579 ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಸುನಿಲ್ ಜಾಕರ್ ಅವರು ಒಟ್ಟು 4,99,752 ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಬಿಜೆಪಿಯ ಸಲಾರಿಯಾ 3,06,533 ಮತ ಪಡೆದರೆ, ಆಪ್ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿ ಖಜುರಿಯಾ 23,579 ಮತಗಳನ್ನು ಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಹಿರಿಯ ನಟ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಸದರಾಗಿದ್ದ ವಿನೋದ್ ಖನ್ನಾ ಸಾವಿನ ಬಳಿಕ ಗುರುದಾಸ್ಪುರ ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ತೆರವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ವಿನೋದ್ ಖನ್ನಾ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಗೆಲುವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು. ಪಂಜಾಬ್ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆಗಿರುವ ಅಮರಿಂದರ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅವರು ಸುಬಿಲ್ ಜಾಕರ್ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಶುಭಾಶಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗೆಲುವಿನ ಬಳಿಕ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಹಾಗೂ ಮಾಜಿ ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟಿಗ ಇದು ರಾಹುಲ್ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದೀಪಾವಳಿಯ ಉಡುಗೊರೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
