ಟಾಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದು ಮೊದಲ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ ಭಾರತ 50 ಓವರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 9 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ 169 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿತು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ 38.1 ಓವರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 74 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿ ಆಲೌಟ್ ಆಯ್ತು.
ಟೀ ಇಂಡಿಯಾದ ಮಾರಕ ಬೌಲಿಂಗ್ ಗೆ ತತ್ತರಿಸಿದ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಆರಂಭಿಕ ಆಟಗಾರ್ತಿ ನಹಿದಾ ಖಾನ್ 23 ರನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸನಾ ಮಿರ್ 29 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಪ್ರತಿರೋಧ ತೋರಿದ್ದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ, ಉಳಿದವರು ಬೇಗನೆ ಔಟಾದರು.
ಭಾರದ ಪರವಾಗಿ ಪೂನಂ ರಾವುತ್ 47 ರನ್, ದೀಪ್ತಿ ಶರ್ಮಾ 28 ರನ್, ಸುಷ್ಮಾ ವರ್ಮಾ 33 ರನ್ ಬಾರಿಸಿದರು. ಬೌಲಿಂಗ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕ್ತಾ ಬಿಷ್ತ್ 5 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಪಡೆದು ಮಿಂಚಿದರು.
ಆಡಿರುವ ಮೂರು ಪಂದ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಿಥಾಲಿ ರಾಜ್ ಪಡೆ ಗೆದ್ದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇಂಗ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಡೆದ ಮೊದಲ ಪಂದ್ಯವನ್ನು 35 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಂದ ಗೆದ್ದಿದ್ದರೆ, ವಿಂಡೀಸ್ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಎರಡನೇ ಪಂದ್ಯವನ್ನು 7 ವಿಕೆಟ್ಗಳಿಂದ ಜಯಗಳಿಸಿತ್ತು.
