ಪ್ರಿಟೋರಿಯಾ: ಚಿನ್ನದ ಬೆಟ್ಟವೊಂದು ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಜನರು ಚಿನ್ನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮುಗಿಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ಘಟನೆ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾದ ಕಾಂಗೋ ರಾಜ್ಯದ ಲೂಹಿಹಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪತ್ತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಮೇಲ್ನೋಟಕ್ಕೆ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಂತೆ ಕಾಣುವ ಮಣ್ಣಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪಾರ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣದ ಚಿನ್ನದ ಅಂಶ ಇದೆಯಂತೆ. ಈ ಸತ್ಯ ತಿಳಿಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ ಜನಸಾಗರವೇ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಿದೆ. ಬಂಗಾರವನ್ನು ಬಾಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹಾರೆ, ಗುದ್ದಲಿ ತಂದು ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮಣ್ಣನ್ನು ಅಗೆದು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತೊಳೆದು ತೆಗೆದು ಚಿನ್ನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ರಾಜ್ಯದ ವಿವಿಧ ಭಾಗಗಳಿಂದ ಚಿನ್ನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಜನರು ಬೆಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎನ್ನಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಈ ಕುರಿತಾಗಿ ತಿಳಿದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಆ ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಗಣಿಗಾರಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಿದೆ. ಯಾರೋಬ್ಬರು ಹಾರೆ, ಗುದ್ದಲಿಯಿಂದ ಅಗೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದೆ. ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಗುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಚಿನ್ನವಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅಷ್ಟೊಂದು ಪ್ರಮಾಣದ ಚಿನ್ನವಾದರೂ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ ಎಂಬುದು ತನಿಖೆಯಿಂದ ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕಿದೆ.
