ಗುವಾಹಟಿ: ಅನಾರೋಗ್ಯದಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನ ಮಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ, ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್‌ ನಾಯಕ ತರುಣ್ ಗೊಗೊಯ್(84) ಇಂದು ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಗುವಾಹಟಿಯ ಗೌಹತಿ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗೊಗೊಯ್ ಇಂದು ಸಂಜೆ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ಫಲಕಾರಿಯಾಗದೇ ನಿಧನರಾದರು.
ಆಗಸ್ಟ್ 25 ರಂದು ಕೋವಿಡ್‌ 19 ಪಾಸಿಟಿವ್‌ ದೃಢಪಟ್ಟ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ತಿಂಗಳು ಕಳೆದು ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್‌ 25 ರಂದು ಡಿಸ್ಚಾರ್ಜ್‌ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು. ಬಹು ಅಂಗಾಂಗ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಗೊಗೊಯ್ ಅವರ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಹದೆಗೆಟ್ಟ ಕಾರಣ ನ.2 ರಂದು ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸಲಾಗಿತ್ತು.

ಮೂತ್ರಪಿಂಡದ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಡಯಾಲಿಸಿಸ್‌ಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಕಳೆದ ಶನಿವಾರದಿಂದ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ ಗಂಭೀರವಾಗಿ ಹದಗೆಟ್ಟಿತ್ತು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಐಸಿಯುನಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.
2001 ಮೇ 18 ರಿಂದ 2016 ಮೇ 24ರವರೆಗೆ ತರುಣ್ ಗೊಗೊಯ್ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಡಳಿತ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದರು. 15 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ನಡೆಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅಸ್ಸಾಂನಲ್ಲಿ ದೀರ್ಘ ಕಾಲ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ನಡೆಸಿದ ಏಕೈಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಗ್ಗಳಿಕೆಗೆ ಗೊಗೊಯ್ ಪಾತ್ರವಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. 6 ಬಾರಿ ಸಂಸದರಾಗಿಯೂ ಗೊಗೊಯ್ ಚುನಾಯಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
